Root3 are a group of likeminded individuals, passionate about making and preserving sustainable places. Our multi disciplinary team provides landscape architecture and ecology services.

Our aim is to provide a high quality, personal and efficient service to clients giving any new developments a sense of place through design and management of multi functional green infrastructure. Our approach is inclusive we connect buildings, people and environment together.

We have a particular interest in vernacular landscapes, that is those that reflect the physical, biological, and cultural character of our everyday lives.

    A cleaner greener city! As part of an initiative to improve the Southbank area in Leeds. Working with the LSDG we created concepts for a variety of pocket parks

    A recent exciting commission involved helping  formalise the rear space of a newly refurbished Victorian villa in Leeds. Working with client and architect, concepts were developed to frame views and draw the individual into the space from the newly formed impressive kitchen diner. We’ll aim to put up more images as this develops…#gardenenvy!!!

    A partnership project between NYCC and Seachange Community Trust. Root3 were commissioned to deliver landscape design and public consultation to support development of spaces surrounding the building.

  1. New SUDS scheme proposed for Bradford site 23 January 2018

    Working with one of our residential clients we’re currently developing concepts for a large site near Bradford which may include an array of SUDS and pedestrian walkways.

  2. Success for retirement living provider 12 December 2017

    Root3 are delighted to hear of the news of the McCarthy and Stone team success on getting planning for the new assisted living site in Cottingham Lincolnshire. A great result, being close to both heritage assets, a protected woodland and flood zone!

  3. Further housing sites for Lincolnshire 5 November 2017

    Further work in Lincolnshire!  Commissioned by housing developer Lovell, Root3 have recently submitted plans for a new 104 unit masterplan to include both SUDs interventions and local play facilities.


  4. Progress ongoing with Sheffield housing projects 18 September 2017

    Excited to see new concept spaces coming together for Sheffield Housing sites. Working with JTP architects and Keepmoat progress is ongoing at various sites east of the city centre. More details to follow..selected early concepts seen here.
